Default Gear while wheeling...

How do ya'll keep your gear "snug" inside the Jeep when wheeling, just by strapping it to the tie downs? Or do you use a net? I ejected a cooler last weekend that came loose from a bungie cord!!

Mine just sort of bangs and rattles around. I clip my cooler into the back seat with the seatbelt so I don't break the beers.

I use a military parachuters jump bag and throw everything in it and strap it around the rear roll cage and tied to one of rear seat hold downs. I cringe when I see guys with stuff just thrown in the back like shovels, high lift and tools. Flying objects like these can kill.

Heard stories of tools flying forward during accidents and hitting drivers/passengers.... We take lots of gear camping/wheeling but can't tied "everything down. Does anyone use a net or something of that nature?

I actually use the rear gate with the Smittybilt MOLLE cover to store a lot of my stuff. Emergency medical supplies, extra change of clothes, non-perishable food items and emergency roadside stuff & rescue gear. Works well for me but I too am looking for a larger "tool" storage system to carry some wrenches, sockets, etc.
