Jeep recovery team
I don't know if this belongs here but, is there a way to organize the Jeeps in local areas to help out in the event of natural desasters? To help get people in and out of areas and maybe to help with flood control and relief. Just a thought. It might be a way to show the communities that Jeepers are/ can be a strong link in the system if called upon. Your thoughts?

I'd be interested in something like this. Always thought about signing up for Red Cross classes/training, and this would be a great extension of a program like that.

I was just thinking that the the Jeeps are made to work in all sorts of environments and it would be great to have a team that could work from the inside and start to get things ready for the evac/rescue/recovery/ect teams that come after the event. We had a pretty bad storm come through Central Texas a few weeks back and it knocked trees down and shut down a pretty big section of central austin for a few hours. Even something like tree clearing and sand bagging Would be great. First Aid training and CPR would def be a must. I'm glad that other people are interested.

Good idea, I would be down.
If this actually gets going, and we need a sticker (every group needs a cool sticker), make sure you talk to your friendly Jeep graphic designer about it... yes that would be me.
