JK Upgrades
Unless you are wheeling hard where you are bashing up stuff like the tie rod and belly I would just invest in some flat fenders and run 35" tires. I would only add lift if you need the extra clearance. Just a note that moving up to 35" tires will make the jeep feel sluggish compared to what you have now without doing a gear change. Your speedo and odometer will also be off and if you want them right a flashpak will be needed.
I have 08 was on 4:88 with 35's. It was just right. Went up to 5:13 and rpm and I had some vibration issues. Now I'm at 5:13 with 37 and it's good but the weight of the tires on my steel wheels is a bit rough. I need to take some weight out. Need to dump the steel wheels and go back to alloy.
5:38 might be better with 37's. But that's a little small on the pinion. I'm sleeved and gusseted, and trussed with chromolly in the rear on run axles.

Running around at sea level on flat ground in Florida is way different then running in the Serria's. The 5-7% grades we have out here are hard on the drivetrain. I have to drop down to 4th on my 6 speed just to maintain highway speed on 40's where in Illinois I was fine driving around everyday.
