Default JKU 4WD after 80k miles

Hello I have had my Jeep Wrangler JKU for 7 years and 80k miles. I have never switched into 4WD however I am looking to drive on the beach and would need to switch to 4WD. Is this going to cause any issues or do I need to do anything in particular first?

yes, try your 4WD before you go- make sure it's working! If the sand is soft, de-air the tires down to 12 lbs., after making sure you can pump them back up afterwards. Don't drive too much on hard surfaces while in 4WD.

Even though you haven't been using the transfer case, might want to change out the fluid. It's fairly easy to do; just pull up some YouTube videos to learn how.
