Default mud racing

has anyone here ever mud raced their jk. we have races here and when we went to watch them the other day, my friend said she wanted to take her jeep in, but i have to too. i know i can make it through, but i have some questions.

since i have a rubicon and the superchip i can lock the front or back in 4hi.
what would you guys lock, front or rear?
it's automatic, should i put it in Drive or 1st and shift myself?
what about the esp??

let me know what you guys would do..

thanks

lol i think our pitiful 3.8 will be an embarrassment if you tried to race it.. that and our suspension, axles, blah blah blah arent designed for it... I also watched the extreme 4x4 episode and that rig is not anything like ours.

well it's not like i'm going to go out there and win, and i know that.. just some of my friends and i want to have fun.. this past race a stock toyota fj went through, so we were like, what the hell, lol. and there are different classes, so it's not like we're going to race the big boys..

i would lock both up if i could, but i haven't done the locker mod and the superchip only lets you do the front or back, not at the same time.

oh yeah, there was a few bone stock 4x4's out there. i'm talking street tires and stuff. i know i could beat those guys, lol. at least i got some mud grapplers

If the mud pit is a straight line, lock them both up, put in drive and hammer down!

I'm thinking with rubi 4hi with one locked might be better, more speed hell just do it twice, try each way

I'm gonna do it door less
