We entered the trail and saw a FWD/2WD GMC Envoy in front of us in loose sand and traveling at high speed, I pulled to the right as he made no attempt to slow or give way and wouldn't you know it, his back end slid and swiped the rear fender.

His response was, "this is off-road and there are no restrictions" and I quickly replied, that it doesn't mean drive like a moron when passing another vehicle.

With that, what are some of the courtesies (sp??) that you practice while wheelin?
How much beer did this idot have? These are the kind of people that get trails closed

I ain't gonna lie, some times on the trails I move pretty quick, but if I see someone in the distance or know someone is coming by I slow down or even pull over till they pass just out of respect.

Thanks all for the replies, I am going to let the insurance companies duke it out for the barely $250 repair.

Here are a couple pics of our first time out and fortunately, you can't see the damage on the rear driver flare.

We had a blast, especially my little girl!

Don't let one bad experience sour you, as you also pointed everyone else was nice. The nice is what you will run across more often then the bad.

It's no different than the idiots on river that won't slow down when they pass another boat. It pisses me off to no end!

You could also use a lug wrench like the expandable one from gorilla or just slash the tires so they can't drive at all. (not that I would condone such behavior)

this is exactly how it's supposed to be! He was fully responsible and I woulda beat him senseless then call the cops and said he musta hit his head when he hit me! Those ppl don't belong on the trails! Their the ppl who ruin it for all of us!
