Default Offroading ????'s

So, I went to my first off road park in Bridgeport this past Sunday and everything went fine pretty much except for the end when my t-case lever went loose. But my main question, should I be in 4h mostly when doing trails or just put it in 4l and put it back in 2h when I'm back on the road leading in between trails? Cause Id rather not shift it too much and have another incident happen from whatever it was that broke. ( the crappy little plastic clip being my main suspect)

If you run around in 4hi while on trails with hills you will eventually get your hot oil light to come on which is an overheated transmission if you have an auto. I use 4lo unless I need to go faster for some reason.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback, what's the max speed I should go in 4L? I try not going over 10, input?

yeah I've asked about that too but you can get the spare plastic clips that are the problem from the dealer for less than $1.00 a piece and carry a few spares
that being said I have yet to break one myself

The part looks great but I've been shifting my JK in & out for 95000 miles now without any problems.

Exactly why I'm putting in a tranny cooler.

That actually happened and I was kinda worried thinking, what the hell is a hot oil warning, so I shut off the jeep and let it sit
