Default required equipment on your jeep before you hit the trail?

I've been looking online and it's kinda hard to find a basic list of equipment you should have on your jeep before you should go on a trail. I've seen a few here and their but i think we do need a list.

A basic tool set is a good idea, with metric wrenches and sockets up to 21mm. I put together one using stuff from Harbor Freight, that way it was cheap and I will not be heart broken if it is lost or stolen. Additionally, you are in AZ, water is a given (I am from Tempe). I always take a shovel, an ax, tools (as mentioned above) gloves, hi-lift jack, CB radio, portable GPS, handheld compass (just in case), rope, area map, scrap piece of carpet (it can get you out of a sandy jam (your floor mats can work too)), duct tape, jumper cables, firearm, extra magazines, sunscreen, food, and winch accessories (if you have a winch that is)

I am sure there is something I am leaving out but I know I take at least all of that with me.

Not so much something you take...but something you leave...

A trip plan with a responsible person...even if you are going in a group.
