Default Suggestions for trail tools...

So up til now, I have always carried with me a recovery strap, D-rings, my trail air compressor, couple ratchets, a crow bar, and my hi-lift. I think that's about it...
What all tools do you guys take with you on the trail? What else would you add to my little "kit?"

This is awesome. Pretty much 90% of it, I can see the point in using. This should be added to a FAQ somewhere.

Wow...awesome list and very helpful for a noob to JK's like me. Thanks!

One possible addition that I know has saved my butt wheeling my old vehicle, a good tire repair/plug kit with T-handle grips for getting through big tires. I have been unfortunate enough to get three separate punctures on one outing. If I didn't have the ability to plug my tires, I would have been SOL.

Slowly getting my setup together. I bought a craftsman 94 piece set that is 1/4" up to 9/16" and 13mm. 3/8" up to 13/16 and 18mm. I swapped out both craftsman ratchets for my "spare" 80 tooth snap on ratchets. Adding 19,20,21,22mm from my tool stash in storage (or swap meet). Put my "spare" metric and standard gear wrenches in the same box up to 19mm and 3/4".

I have a set of harbor freight pliers and screwdrivers. Metric, SAE and Torx "flip sets". I need to get another BFH to stick in there. About covers my tools, plus first aid kit, straps, etc, etc.

Even in Summer, I always have a Winter coat. If a guy is injured and have to wait 6 hours in the wood at night, this can prevent the hypothermia

Cheap tools. I don't bring out my newest high dollar luxury tools out on the trail - they stay in the garage. My tool bag is full of old and less costly tools, because you will eventually loose them in the mud anyway and a cheap tool will cut it for trail repairs.
