$2K for a brake booster? You can pay alot of fix it tickets for that! I'll take my chances!
No Brakes, No Lights, 1000 Miles on my first Tow, NO PROBLEMS!
(sorry for the fuzzy pic)
When the sun went down I hooked my battery back up and turned the jeep parking lights on:
I have a cooltech lighting harness now (although it's still in a box!)

Not a big fan of flat towing the Jeep. But I guess it depends on what types of trails you run. I wheel mine with the expectation that I will most likely break something.
For that reason I need a trailer to get my Jeep back home. Last trip out I broke my front axle and rear brake line. I run spares, so no issues and fixed it at the OHV Park. Another in my club broke his rear axle shaft and did not have spares, and he drove a LJ, so my spares are no good to him. His only way home was to be trailered or a tow company had to pick him up.
Luckily my Jeep was driveable and I just towed his Jeep home while he drove mine.
Just my $0.02

I use the CoolTech LLC battery disconnect to solve this. I flat towed for about 400 miles with the dash lights on, it still started when I got to the far end!
