Default Use this as a tree hugger?

What do you guys thing of this being used as a tree saver? Load looks to be good to 6,400#. Wrapped around the tree and the two loops together it should be good to 12,800#. It's a Harbor Junk Tool special and figure at $10.00 possibly a good tool to have in the bag of tricks to use once or twice before breaking in typical Harbor Freight fasion.

I always look at recovery gear with a questioning attitude, do I trust a $10 strap to support my $40,000 Jeep? If it breaks, is it really worth saving $40 while you're miles from home trying to get out of a muddy hole in the middle of nowhere? You always get what you pay for...

Those are the straps you let someone borrow to pull a buddy out of the mud. That way your nice ones don't get all dirty.

It's not how big it is, it's how you use it.
