what is the difference in axles & gear ratios

gas mileage....
I have a Sahara, 30 up front and 44 in the rear. I so far have not had any problems and do wheel it. The 30 is not as strong as the 44. Your gear ratio is 3.21 or 4.10 with the tow package in an 07, although 3.73 came in the late 07's and all 08's. So ask your dealer or go to Jeep and get a build sheet, if you have your sticker it will tell you. if you have the 4.10's 33 will be good with no regear, will feel a lot like stock. going to 35 you will want to gear to either 4.88 or 5.13, I have 5.13 and love it, but the gas millage dropped a lot, But I dont care. 4.88 is more to the stock performance so it your choice, but yes regear or youll be a slug with 35. You will be fine with 35, but yes maybe more likely to break where the 44 would not. Depends on how hard or what your doing.
What kind of gas mileage are you getting now? and do you think the 5.13 would still hold up well if you want to run 37"?

Wow. I dont know anything about any of this.
Dana 44 rear with Anitspin differential axle
3.73 axle ratio with tow package
Dana 30 front
36 inch tires
Not sure if I need to do anything to my JK or not.
I have had no troubles, except at high speeds on the interstate, when it sometimes seems the power isnt there.
i havent had any difficulties taking off from a stop, or climbing.
any help would be appreciated.
