i will be installing my winch today!!
but, i figure ill ask what u guys think are some of the most important things to know and do.

to install, or use the winch?

dont use your mother-in-law to stretch the cable, she wont like it.

Its heavy, yake your time and make sure everything lines up before bolting.

what is there to say, depending on your bumper it will be easy or hard, just a few bolts and nuts and two wires oh yea the red one is positive...........

Sometimes the things that seem the simplest, are not. It's very resonable to ask if there is anything you need to do when installing a winch.

I'll be doing the same this weekend and it'll be a first for me to.

x2 on the poster that said it was heavy.....HOLY SH!T, there were several times while trying to maneuver mine around while installing that I almost dropped the sucker. Might be worthwhile to have someone help, just second pair of hands just in case. Good luck.

Guys, after installing the winch, what do you need to do to 'prepare' to use it? Have heard something about pre-tension it and oiling it, any comments on those areas?
