Thanks guys. Unfortunately some bad news to add to this saga. Last night after preparing for the big BC Whipsaw trail run and spending the whole day getting the jeep prepped etc. After i finished that I went out for dinner with the fam and then once home was about to run out and do the grocery shopping for the trip (its an overnighter). Pull outta my drive and take off down the street....all i hear is a loud snap and crash....look behind me and im missing my tire. I had forgotten to put the pins in to hold the carrier shut and it flew open and ripped off the jeep, taking with it the river raider corner and bending the shit outta the sheet metal. As you can imagine I am very choked about it, felt like just crying all night haha. So i didn't make my trip, missing out on a great time with buddies and now i have to figure out some way to get this fixed. I think now i will go with the FULL river raider corners/sliders and put the carrier and everything back on. I will weld it on this time and make sure its not going anywhere at all. I cant seem to catch a break with my luck these days
Now for some pics:

Cleaned up and ready to go for the trip, fresh wax etc:

Carnage pics: (looks a lot worse in person)

Last week those corners needed attention Dave.....now they ripped off......thats really is a crappy deal.....better get it back together before our trip.

Well if you dont get it fixed, at least you will be trailering your rig, so you can't back out of this one....lol....

oh ya.....I am 100% in now for our State side excursion....I saw so many RV's on the hwy pulling vehicles on the way here, I talked with Ralu, and said, i have to do this, or I probably wont for a few years.......just insured the Motorhome...will be bringing it back to Whistler Sunday to get it ready for our trip....I will be spending about $600 before even leaving...

Get that Jeep fixed!!!! see ya soon brother...

well the jeeps finally back together. this time around I went with the full EVO corners. and used BOLTS instead of just the nutsets. The tire carriers not goin anywhere this time! There are 7 bolts holding each side, plus all the nutserts that came with the corners. Also got some PSC rocker armor as I was going to weld the whole side of the jeep into one piece, but i dont think i need to do that now since its so beefy. I'm still missing the piece that connects the corner to the rocker, hopefully EVO gets that out soon. I'm just glad to have everything back together since i leave for cali/moab next tuesday! Now for some pics:
PSC rockers:

installed:

EVO corners:

wish i could weld like this.....

Corners installed, tirecarrier welded back on:

Painted:

Done, just waiting on the last piece between the corner and rocker:

Nice Dave!

A happy ending to your story.

My spirits sunk just like yours when I bashed up my drivers side corner so I knew how you felt when your tire carrier ripped off. I went with AEV corner guards myself. I think they look super awesome.

Have fun on your trip and say hey to the other guys for me.
