Well that is good to know it is only 4" wider...My only issue would be our state inspection requires complete tire coverage so my flares may not cover it unless I can get wheels with less(?) offset...Thank you for the info...

The F-250 has a very simular axle but has a D-50 center section. You can tell right away because the pinion nut is tiny on the 50 as compared to the 60. You want a 60 so you need an F-350. I'm unsure if the mearsurements are the same on the front from knuckle to knuckle on the F350 single and dual wheel trucks. I know I used a single wheel truck and ended with modified dual wheel front wheel bearings and stubb shafts.

FYI: The 04 F-350 is different than the 99-03. The '05-'07 is different as well.

What is the difference on the '04 ? Is nt it spring mounted like the 99-03 and not like the coil spring type like the 05-07

I'm not sure what all the differences are. If you order parts for them, the '04 is seperate. The seals have differnt part numbers at our shop. I know the frames of the trucks are different. When we install a snowplow, it is a stand alone year as well. I don't know for sure that there is any problem with it, I just don't know for sure that there isn't. The Ford Superduty versions run '99-'03, '04, '05-'07, '08+ ('11+ on the diesel is different too).

F-250s came with the 60 also. Just that some in the 02-03 era came with the Dana 50. You can search numbers and it's easily identifiable.

If you could pick up even a 50 for a super cheap deal I wouldn't be afraid to run it. You still get the monster housing and giant shafts.

I don't see why not. It's never been done before to my knowledge. The '99-'03 is easy because that is the axle Currie uses for thiers. So you can buy the parts to bolt on to make it work esp/abs compliant.
