I am installing a 3.5 Rubicon Express kit and have 35's to install on my stock wheels. I have 2 inch spidertrax spacers so back spacing shouldn't be a problem. I bought adjustable lower control arms for the front to correct front geometry. I noticed on some of the photos on this thread as well as some comments that the rear tires look to be pushed forward by the lift causing rubbing on the rock rails. Some have said they had to cut or trim the rock rails or pinch seam. I am trying to avoid this and wonder if those of you who didn't have to do that have a secret.

Do rear control arms (upper adjustable) or a pair of upper and lower longer arms push the tire far enough back to prevent the need for this? Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.

I am in no hurry to get the lift on so I am willing to wait and order more parts if it will help avoid cutting or modifying for the long run. Also for those who did have rubbing issues and cut the rock rails did that only occur with heavy off road use or did it occur very often?

35's with a 2.5 inch lift. Longer upper control arms. Stock lowers. No rubbing on the street but I'm just cutting the rails an inch or so.

I finished up the install of the Rubicon express 3.5 inch lift with Front lower and rear upper control arms. The jeep looks a little silly at the moment with the stock tires still on. I hope to get my 35's on this weekend and I will post the pics.

I had the 35x12.5xR17 Amp Terrain master tires put onto my Stock Rubicon Hard Rock Rims today. I am very happy with the way it turned out.
