Default 4dr Rubi Coils on 2dr X

Just installed HD coils from an Unlimited Rubicon on my 2dr X JK.(Thanks Cesar) I gained 1+ inch of lift. More importantly I got the sagging springs off the bumpstops. My winch and heavy bumper was pulling the front end down. They were just too soft for the added weight. Took me about 1 hour after work to get it all installed. That is just the front for now. Took it out for a drive and the ESP did not go off in a hard turn and the braking stability is much better.

Looks great and good to know exactly what difference it makes. I just sold my stock springs to a fellow JK'er with a 2dr. That should make him smile a bit!

Nice job! THis would be about the only "lift" I could get away with due to my current garage entry height.

Wonder if there is a difference between the 4dr and 2dr rubicon springs. Would be nice if my 2dr Rubicon would gain some lift with a set of 4dr springs???

So.... does that mean I can gain a little height in the front of my Unlimited "X" if I use Unlimited "Rubicon" springs? It wasn't bad until I added the Warn bumper, then I lost almost an inch.

I am not so sure. The unlimited springs have a higher spring rate because the 4dr's weight several hundred pounds more than a 2dr. The rubicon springs are a bit stiffer, but I am not sure if it would be worth the work unless you got the springs for free.

Awesome! I bought some 4dr Rubi springs the other week and will be installing them with a TF 2.5" BB.
