Advice! To sell or not?
So, I love my Jeep because it has a rugged look and great off road capability. However, I've always been a Ford guy and I love the Ford F150 off road versions (FX4, Raptor, King Ranch). I know I could treat a new F150 like a Jeep project and put an aftermarket suspension, tires, bumpers, light bars, etc on it. Also, a truck is more practical for me considering I do more mudding than rock climbing, and I play a lot of sports and work in construction, so a truck bed is more convenient for throwing my junk back there and not worrying about getting everything dirty. Also, I know most jeep owners don't consider this a necessity, but I really value having a nice interior and, because of the functionality that a jeep has in being able to remove the top and doors(pro), the interior leaves a lot for me to desire(con). Now, those are my reasons for wanting a truck, but I don't have to list my reasons for wanting to keep the Jeep because yall all know why Jeeps are awesome. I know ill probably get a biased answer coming from a jeep forum, but I'd really appreciate opinions from those of you who have switched between a jeep and a truck or possibly drive both.
Also, all pics of jeeps and trucks are welcome. Thanks!

Do you have a two door or four door? I personally have a 2 door jk. Now I have owned a bunch of trucks.. Mostly duramaxs and powerstrokes. As far as mudding goes, a jeep will be able to hands down get in and out of places that abhor my trucks could wish they could get through. Mind you my jeep is mostly stock as well.
I as well at sports, ok hockey, and have more than adiquate space in the jeep for this. Mind you I am not carrying goal nets.
Yea a truck has the bed advantage ( shortest bed I have ever had was only a 6' ) when needing to move more massive stuff... Ie a cord of wood. I right now have my jeep and a old beater 1500 with a 8' bed 4x4. Only use it when I wanna give the jeep a rest or have to but things for the house. Cause of this I feel I am covered and am happy with what I have.
I do feel if I had kids or anything of that sort, I'd want a 4door... But that's not my case. Bottom line it's down to what you want.

I'm assuming your jeep is new. What holds you back from a similar setup like mine. A older, paid off, beater pickup ? For those times you need a pickup? I actually purchased the pickup way before the jeep... Even though it had 180k, it does what I want it to do. It's paid off, and I take it to places aka the city, where I don't wanna drive the jeep or if I wanna park close to the store ( yea I am that guy that parks at the other end of the lot with my nice vehicle)

I was looking at trucks before I bought my jeep. Im also a "Ford guy" but I fell in love when I drove my jeep( first one I've owned ). I still have my 2001 2wd pickup to drive to work and just around town. But the biggest thing that kept me from a new truck was the price tag. Ball park of $50,000.00 depending on what options you get. And a Raptor, with a 4.5% interest rate, you're still looking at about $750 a month. $62,000 truck fully loaded 4-door.
We'll, I have my olld f150, that I lifted and put 40.s on it and did a bunch of stuff to it. As far a functionality go, my truck was alright but when you start lifting trucks it's 10x more money then it is to lift a jeep. And if anything breaks it also going to be a lot more money to fix. You have I remember that these trucks, have ifs now a days. And ifs aren't cheap to fix, the control arms usually twist and bend with larger tires, and thy aren't designed for that kind of stress. If you like to wheel I would keep the jeep. Or buy an ol truck that you aren't going to worry about it if it breaks. Because those new f150s an any new truck IMO are garbage. The more electronically you get into with the motors the more issues you will have. That's why most 12valve cummins engines are still driving today with 900-1.2m kms on them with some ware and tear parts replaced. But off topic, what I was getting at, is. If your willing to burry your wallet into this new truck, you should remember that it's going to be super expensive and you might end up getting your sel more into what you bargained for, the new truck aren't designed to be lifted and abused. I'd keep the jeep. And if your willing. Just replace your interior like your seats. And paint or change how the inside looks. But it's your choice! Just my 2 cents here is my f150.
