Anyone have pics of their OEM stubby bumper mod without aftermarket endcaps?

I'd like to see some pics of cut front bumpers without the aftermarket endcaps. Has anyone made their own stubby front bumper without using the Rugged Ridge or other aftermarket endcaps?

I saw one a wile back where they cut along the top and bottom seam and folded it back. Then plastic welded it on the top and bottom. Looked clean. Here is a pix of one I found on a Google search. Click image for larger version

Default chopped front bumper

I re-used the ends of the stock bumper. I also used some of the material I cut out of the bumper to make patches for the crush cans that I had already damaged.

Shortened them by I think 5 or 5.5" on both sides, then riveted the chopped end back on. I used a handheld jig saw to do the chop, but a lot of the fitting required cutting the backside where the plastic was too close together or recessed to get at. Dremil, drill bits, etc. That part was a little tedious. Not sure what the ideal tool would be there.

I used a sawzall, pop rivets, masking tape (for straight cut lines), and about 3 hours for the front; about 4 hours for the back (the back took longer because of the wrap around) I'll get a pic of the back later today; just realized I didn't have one.

I ran a factory stubby for a while with the VDP end caps. Was a great option while I saved up for a better bumper. Especially looked good with the rigid dually in the fog light mounts.

Way back when I still had the stock bumper. I cut it back to the bumps and also had an ARIES grille guard on it.
