Default ARB Lockers and Compressor, 4.88 Gears and other stuff

As a lot of the folks in the SoCal board already know, the wife bought me a pretty decent early Valentines present:

ARB D30 front locker
ARB D44 rear locker
ARB air compressor
ARB diff covers
4.88 gears

I added D30 Chromolly front axles to the list and dropped it off at Off Road Evolution in SoCal last Friday. Went down today to pick it up. I'd been running 33's with 3.21's. Major difference with the 4.88's. I actually passed cars going up hill.

ORE fabbed a mounting plate for the air compressor and welded it to the front cross member (thanks Eddie !!!).

Here's a few pics:

New dif cover...and a straight tie rod (I bent the crap out of the original one)

ARB Compressor mount

Modified Cooltech switchplate

I'll be running an air line and mounting a quick connect fitting to the front bumper so I don't have to pop the hood and reach in to connect a hose to the compressor for airing up.

GREAT!! I am about to do the same setup. And, I have the CoolTech panel as well, so one question about the switch, can you use the CoolTech ones instead of ARB's?

I don't even want to know what you had or will need to get her for Valentines day!

Looks good, you should have no problems on the trails now.

Awesome Tim! My plan is to eventually get ARB's front and rear as well, but I don't have any extra money, and probably wont for a while. Let us know how they work for you.

Cool, this gives me good ammo to use against my wife for Valentines! This is my list for tax refund money!

How much extra for the ARB install on top of gears? I know ORE has the $1200 special for gears/install. I'd like to actually take my Jeep to them on a family trip to Disney and just leave it with them.

Oh shit...hadn't thought about that. I'm supposed to get her something? I think she spent all of our disposable income on me though (as it should be ... )

Same here. Hey Eddie, what did ORE weld the bracket to?

Everything came from Northridge 4x4 except the chromolly axles. I got those from Off Road Evolution. Ballpark estimate for everything installed (I don't think I wanna know the actual cost) is $4K.
