Default An Aussie Jeep

This is my stock standard (other than tyre size and self-added mods) JK.
US jeepers will notice the difference in bumpers! AND! We only get either the 'sport' or Rubicon here. ($10K Aust difference)

I'll add pics of the extinguisher, reverse camera and monitor (hooked up DVD player) and home made (kayak) grab handles later...

Thats a nice jeep, i like the color. the drawback is when you decide to change the rear bumper, you will have to find yourself a license plate bracket.

Looks good. So what are the option on the Sport vs. Rubicon? Does the sport have the variable headlight switch?

Why do the Assie and Europe bumper enclose the front wheel well? Is this a vehicle law?

I think over here it is a design regulation...not entirely sure. It don't look too good though.
On my TJ I had big plastic end pieces that came off the day it got home and went back on the day it was traded! The only clean part on the car!

Sport vs Rubicon - The Rubi is the same as for you guys...the sport doesn't have electronic disconnect, locking diff (other than brake lock), 7 speaker sound with 6 disc DVD, or the bigger wheels. That's about it (for the $10K diffference).

So for AUD$2500 I added the Renegade pack which gave me better wheels, stereo, side steps and hardtop.

I actually like the look. The AEV bumpers meet the wheel flare, but have more of an approach angle (the best of both worlds...)
It's an expensive addition $1200 US, with out the winch, lights, and skid plate...

If they have the same strict regulations we have over here in Europe (Belgium in particular), It's needless to say that we have strict rules.

Starting this year we aren't even allowed to change the bumpers anymore. But there are some dealerships working on to see what can be done, what paperwork etc.. need to be done. Can you imagine, even the mopar bumper isn't allowed with us overhere :-(

Lifting a jeep in Belgium puts you in the black papers, it isn't allowed and jeep does nothing to support us.

If we for example would like to have an offroad vehicle that can be lifted with paperworks officially as should be, we should buy a toyota

The only way arround was uptill now, importing from the US and importing it as a one of a kind vehicle. (as we did with our tj unlimited rubicon which is prepared by AEV)

But I wanted a Diesel version which is great with the torque and fuel consumption. So I'm looking for ways to get it officially lifted and changed at the moment.

With all the new taxes in place with us, it's not only jeep clearing out my pockets (Just Empty Every Pocket, but even more the state taxes in Belgium )
