JK Show & Tell Whether they're just poser shots in your driveway or hardcore action shots on the trail, if you've got photos or videos of your Jeep JK Wrangler (or any JK for that matter that you think is worth showing off, inside or out), we want to see them so please post them here! Likewise, if you are wanting to see a photo of something specific like an aftermarket JK part or poser shot with a specific setup, this is the place to ask for it.

Is this a bad idea?

It is likely illegal and you can get a ticket for it. Whether or not a cop gives you that ticket simply depends. Most cops wont notice or could care less. But if your driving behavior is marginal or you look like you might be up to no good, you bet a cop will use it as a reason to stop you.

Be respectful when you drive. Done go nuts and give them a reason and you should be fine. I would think anyway. Don't take my word

With the number of custom license plates out there I'll doubt they'd even look twice unless they are a jeeper wanting one for them selves. Hell I want one

Yes. Yes it is a bad idea. Altering a license plate in Texas carries a steep fine, but if you're cool with that, go for it, it's your money. Reference TC 502.409

Oh yeah, cops like to be able to read the license numbers as well. So covering them up in black rectangles is bad. =)

I'm referencing the "JEEP" only as I only blacked out the numbers for the post.

I think i'm going to remove the JEEP letters from the rear plate only, thats where they'll most likely catch it anyways.

You probably would never get stopped for the jeep letters unless you were speeding or gave them another reason to stop you. It's not that noticeable. Welcome to the forum.
