Bedlined my wheels
SubscribeJust bedlined my wheels this weekend. Used about 3 cans of the Dupli-Color truck bedliner. Taped off the tires, sanded the finish off the wheels, then put about 4 coats on them. Start to finish took about 5-6 hours.

Did you take the balancing weights off or just painted over them? Has it affected your balance at all?

I did not take them off, and I did not paint over them. They are on the silver rim that I taped off. I can't tell any difference as far as the balancing goes. The spray-on bedliner has a nice rugged textured look to it, but I don't know that it is much heavier than most paints so I don't think it should create any balancing issues.Originally Posted by Black 08 X

X2: I am curious about that also. Once you take it off road, I would like to hear how easily / difficult it is to clean up.Originally Posted by You Jeep
Seems like it would be extremely hard to keep clean? Why headliner and not flat/semi gloss paint?
Looks sweet!

I was thinking the bedliner would hold up better than some flat black paint. More resistant to paint chips. So far they are holding up great, but I haven't done any off roading or anything. Im curious to see how they hold up through the winter. I also think I like the more rugged textured look than a flat black.

I love the look of blacked-out wheels and the non-covered aluminum circle, surprisingly for my tastes, sets it off nicely.

You inspired me to do the exact same thing on my rig...took about four hours today, three cans. I really like the look and there's just enough silver to offset the lugs just right. Thanx a lot for the great pics and for the idea!!! Will post some pics tomorrow.
Just realized you're in Potomac Falls...may see you out on the road, will give you a hearty Jeep wave for the idea!!!
