Before/After Teraflex BB - PICS

You can really see the lift with the stock tires, great, I should be getting mine in a week or two.
Any words of wisdom on the install? I know there are some write-ups around. Always like as much first hand experience as possible going into these things. I'll probably be taking my floor jack and tools to a friends garage.

The write up in the how to section is great!! Like the write up says, you will need tall jack stands and a floor jack that lifts fairly high....
If I was doing it again, I would have ordered the kit with the new shocks included. That would have cut out a couple of steps. I will be ordering those this week.
Step number 14 was a little more difficult for me than it looked in the pictures. BUT, it was probably something I was doing. I was probably worried about stretching the brake lines too much and did not lower the axle enough.
Step number 33 was not easy either. I (as well as 2 others that were helping/hanging out) were not able to push these into place. So I placed them in the coil and lined it up to the hole, then used the floor jack to push it into place.
Other than that, no big surprises.
As I said above, I would absolutely recommend purchasing the kit with the new shocks included. Will save several steps and seems a little more secure/OEM to me. And the washers they sent for the shock adapters were too small, so I went ahead and installed without, but will be putting the new shocks in soon, and will fix that problem.
And again, the write up/pictures are GREAT!! I really appreciate the time that was taken to put that together!!

Yes, it is the 2.5" lift.
I am very torn about new tires. I purchased my JK with the stock 225's. About 3 weeks ago I upgraded to 265/75 16's. Of course now I want to go a bit larger, but that will require new wheels and tires, so it might be a while before I can do it....
This Jeep is become a black hole of time and money....but that is not a bad thing!!
It was 85 and sunny in Atlanta today!!
Also, no problems with the ESP. And my steering wheel was perfectly lined up after the lift installation, so I did not have to make any additional adjustments!!
If you are considering lifting your own Jeep and have never tried it, I would absolutely recommend it!! I have never tackled anything of this magnitude on a vehicle before, but I have to say it was not that bad.
