Dude, don't fear the nut-sert! The install is not bad if you have patience and read some of the advice in the various install threads. As for rust, just plan for an hour or so extra for some primer to dry, and spray the holes after you drill. I put silicone around the outside flange of the nut-sert after they were installed. Then black silicone around the inside edge of the body armor before I fastened it down.

Works well as a step and looks great too.

sexy. How many inches is the step? looks a bit small for stepping in but it’s hard to tell form pics

I'm going to guess it's about 3 inches wide. But it works fine for me, my wife, and kids.
