They are great for keeping out low flying birds and rocks, but not much more. I was able to get them tweeked to the point that they didn't flutter, but ended up trading them for a set of Rugged Ridge half doors with soft uppers which a head-and-shoulders above the Bestops.

I don't think I have any with the uppers on...

Still trying to decide if I want to leave the black, which is easy to maintain, or have them painted body color..

I was wondering the same thing, I like to run doorless but getting caught in the rain with no doors sucks! I know all weather Jeeping right! I used to have a 1990 YJ with the cloth half and half doors, they fit behind the back seat and were great if u got caught in the rain. Do the ones for the 2012 JK's work any better than the old ones did? The old ones top half flapped in the breeze so bad but was better than no doors at all in the rain.

Go here...

I had both.. Soft doors are vulnerable to flapping if you don't spend time to get them tweaked and are marginal when it comes to keeping water out. Rigid doors (I have the Rugged Ridge) are excellent on both of these issues.. not as good as a full door, but far better than the softies. The rigid half door helps keep the soft upper from flexing and that is the primary reason for the flapping and water infiltration.
