Any one else going through waiting pains for this thing to be released? I pre-ordered in April I'll be lucky if I get it before summer is over.

I really dislike the way that Quadratec continues to update there site with info about when it will be delivered. Granted it may be based on information they receive from Bestop, but after two delays, how about leaving off when it will be in. I probably would have pre-ordered this regardless, but at this point I've had two projected dates come and go and still it's a no show.

Very frustrating.

 

Are you telling me they pushed back from mid-June to end of July? Last I was told was should be shipped out to me and received by the end of July.

 

That's what I was told this morning. I called last week, and they told me they expected delivery on 6/27 and shipping would go out after that. My order was placed on the first of April, so the rep expected I should be in the first delivery. I called this morning to verify, and was told Late July. I would love to be wrong, but that's the info I was given.

 

You could have started your own company and produced secondary tops faster. Just sayin

 

Have not ordered yet. Looking for options but really like and want this. I wish I would have researched this a little before I bought my jeep. 2011 Sahara Tan Rubi 2 door. I hate having a hard top and full doors and Im still unsure about the color, but the wife likes the color alot and talked me into the hard top and doors for (winter use). Never had a hard top and sick about it now. Want to order the top kit that comes with the soft doors. But I want it NOW!

 

I am going to order one when they are in stock. I had an original trektop for my LJ and had a NX preordered for it but I traded in my LJ for the JK. 4WD was kind enough to cancel my order. I am just waiting until I hear that they are actually shipping. Luckily the two door hard top isnt too heavy and comes off pretty quick.

 

So I ordered a Trektop from Mopar thru the dealer a few weeks ago when I purchased my new JK. Just called, and they said it will be late July before its in. I thought I was getting an original Trektop and therefore in stock, but since the new delivery date coincides with the Trektop NX deliveries, perhaps I'm getting a NX? With the top and doors off, I need some kind of soft top to tote with me NOW for pop-up storms. If they'd been straight with me on availability, I'd have ordered something else and had it by now. I'm sure the "optimism" is coming from the supplier (Bestop), and passed on to the dealer, so I'll cut the dealer some slack. Bestop should be alerting everyone to a real delivery date, instead of stringing folks along, to avoid loosing orders. This is familiar business behavior, but bad business in the long run. I hope competitors take note of the opportunity.
