I have a laptop stand/mount that really a dressed up piece of plexiglass bolted to galvanized water pipe or fencing sections threaded together. The mounts to the bottom of the plexiglass and to the floor are just the round flanges that are used to connect a fence rail to a wall. Cheap at Home Depot, and removeable at will. Just leave the flange bolted to the floor. There's also a flexible goose neck similar to what's used on a microphone stand. The whole arm is covered in a corregated wiring harness sleeve so it doesn't look like so much plumbing.
