Default Color-matched line-x grille

I finally got around to taking pictures of my grille i had line-xed a while ago. I wanted to color match it like a few others had done before. I didn't like the look of the black and also the fact that everyone was doing black, I just wanted to be unique.

I had to wait 6-months to get it done. I could get a good deal on it if I waited for someone else who was also getting sprayed the same bright silver that i wanted. Well after 6 months there was not a single person that did so I ended up settling on a Ford silver (a ranger was getting its bed sprayed) which is pretty close to the bright silver on the Jeep. Also being that it is on another plane compared the the hood and rest of the body, it's hard to tell the difference at all.

Good match, but I don't understand why you'd want to do it in a matching color. I get that the black makes a color change/contrast...
Do you actually get chips in your grill that you are trying to prevent?

I only had a nick or two but nothing to substantial. I honestly just liked he look of it better. I am kind of obsessed with line-x so i figured this is a good way to try out the color-matching. I now do not have to worry about any nicks what-so-ever.

So to answer your question, I guess just to be different..

Here are some more pictures. You can see more of the contrast between the two colors in the last picture. I will be getting rid of the awful rake in the next couple weeks with an OME HD LT kit.
