Pull out the computer and open it up and rinse it out with DISTILLED water and let it dry for a day or do. I would do the same with similar components. We ran into this on a club trip once and it took days for everything to dry out after it was completely cleaned. I'm sure the computer, fuse box and all the other electrics are full of nasty dirty water and mud.

Crash -

We have a pick and pull here in town where you can go pull parts off of all sorts of different vehicles. Anyway, my thought was that when you get to the point of having some of the problems narrowed down, maybe forum members can help cast a wide search for replacement OEM parts at a fair cost. I, for one, would certainly be willing to check out my local pick and pull to see if there are any JK's and whether there is anything you could use.

Just a thought...

My life is in a downward spiral.

sounds like more than the jeep is falling apart.
doesnt sound like you to give up.
the Mrs. was probly not impressed with the Jeep trip return to be sure!
We can only give u moral supt on that front, but if u want help with jeep, all u have to do is ask....

If my new jeep was dead like your I would be just as depressed-feeling like there is no where to turn. its just that it is not true. its just a misguided feeling.
in the end its just a machine. a toy..

just dont ask for money - we bought a jeep which means we are all broke now!

Texas Jeepers gotta stick together bro.

thats great...
it made me smile...thanks.
I needed that.

dont worry though.
I rarely ask for anything, though offer to everyone.
Besides, I dont know anyone on here well enough to cross my boundaries.

I realized that at SEMA....
i didnt even know what anyone looked like.
I might have walked by tons of "friends", and not even known it.

Nope, not my style to kick a man when he's down. I've been on the receiving end of those kicks and it sucks. I also know what it's like to feel like my life was spiraling away from me. I won't press the issue any further, just know there are people on this forum that will help if they can.

Man I wish you were closer. I know next weekend is a long ways off, but if you don't have it running by then I would be glad to come down there and try to help you get her back in shape.

I certainly don't think you're stupid. You have too much talent.

I don't think anyone here would make fun of you. If someone decides to, they might as well leave now and save themselves a whole lot of ridicule.

I don't want to get all religious on you; I haven't a clue what your beliefs are. But I've been around for many years, some good, some bad. Some very good, some very, very bad. So I'd like to think I know a little about this game we all call life. Take my advice with a grain of salt...or not. The decision is yours.

Whatever higher being you believe in, whether it be God, nature, fate, 'a higher power', or some other entity, He, She, or It will never give you a burden too big for you to handle. May not turn out the way you think it should, but there's a lot of truth in the saying that time heals all wounds. So go kiss your wife, hug that little boy and take time to sort out what's important.

There are enough of us that live close enough, that when you're ready, we'll be there.
