Is your iphone working? if not try putting it in a bowl of rice. I have done this for 24hrs and it sucked all the water out of my phone.

This is true, ive done it several times with my blackberry. And I was serious about the parts, I can head down to the yard and get a an awesome deal on quite a few things if necessary, so just keep me posted.

I'm not trying to pile on you here, but how could you look across a body of water like that and think it reasonable and prudent to drive into it?

I believe the iphone has two moisture sensors, one in bottom port and one in the headphone port. If those get "tripped", there is no coming back.
