OK. Dangling these SugarPlums is very well and good, BUT , these will only be available if a manufacturer buys the rights from you, correct ? This requires time, a commodity in short supply for some.
Would it be possible to buy the windows and hatch covers from the mfg , if this doesn't get snapped up ? They now have the tooling to make any number now, right ?
Making the transition from curved to flat fairing is "factory " with your skills ; mine would not be as elegant, but if cost or time is prohibitive, then Necessity is the Mother of. Invention.

The companies I've been talking to about these windows don't sell retail - they only do orders in minimum quantities, not one-offs.

Here are two places youyou can get one-off custom windows made to any size: Easy RV Window Replacement or Boat Windows, Rv Windows | Motionwindows.Com, although you can expect to pay $250-$400 each for custom sizes. Those companies do custom windows, unfortunately I'm not aware of any companies that do one-off custom cargo hatches.

Thank you. If anything I'm working on in this thread gets to production, I'll be sure to let people know.

I haven't finished all the molds for the JK Safari Cab yet, I still have to do the roof mold. I'm just getting a little sidetracked having fun with various window/cargo compartment options at the moment .

I'm back from my trip, part of which was about meeting with window manufacturers, and now it's time to try out some of these windows in the Safari Cab side panels. I've got three new things to experiment with - sliders, cargo hatches, and I also picked up a bonded-glass style crank-out window.

The bonded window will look a lot like the factory hardtop windows, except that it cranks out:

These could also be made to hinge at the front and crank out at the back.

The windows are just sitting on the side panels in the photos above; today I'll cut some holes in the panels and test mount the windows.

Now we're talking ! The bonded front hinged, rear crank out would provide excellent ventilation, hope this becomes available, need for my Dog Carrier on Wheels.

Here's an interesting version of a crank-out window they showed me the other day at one of the window companies. This one's a dual pane while a Jeep version of it would only have the crank-out pane, not the fixed pane, but this illustrates the idea. The moveable pane works like any other crank-out - in the left photo it's open. But the difference is that the hinge isn't captive - the moveable pane is actually removable. On the right the pane is removed. A window like this could be sort of like a "Freedom Panel window" - remove it when you want lots of air. Crank it open when you want a little air, and crank it closed for bad weather or security.
