Thank you. At this point I don't have any plans to try to get either the JK Safari Cab or the barn door for factory hardtops into production.

I've got most of the step-by-step writeup for converting a factory hardtop to modular done, but since I haven't actually done the work yet (except for cutting the factory top into pieces ) I don't have photos to go with the steps so I can't post just yet. I do have all the materials needed on hand, so as soon as I get some time I'll do the construction, take photos of every step and detail, and post everything.

Got the Alpine windows, roof rack and third brake light installed this morning.

Next I'll flip the roof over and install the wiring harness, overhead console and headliner panels.

Comparing an image of the hardtop on the Jeep that I colorized and the actual roof...

Today the wiring harness and overhead console are going in the roof panel. I made up and tested the wiring harness a while back, so it's just a matter of routing and securing it in place. Functions in the harness include switched and unswitched power for accessories, power and control for the motorized vent windows, connection for the third brake light. There's also power outlet and lights in the overhead console.

The wiring harness, overhead console and mounting rails for the headliner panels are now installed. It's ready to plug right in to the harnesses I've already installed the Jeep.

All that's left to do on the roof panel is cover the headliner panels with the headliner fabric and install them. Probably will do that tomorrow.

I'm installing the weatherstripping between panels, so everything is assembled to verify the fit and sealing of the weatherstripping.

The quality of that top is amazing! I can't wait to see it on the Jeep. You've got me on the edge of my seat over here! Haha

The weather stripping on the back door, i.e. where the rear glass seals against the top. Where do you get that from/does it have a part number?

Thank you very much!

I'm pretty anxious for this long project to be over and to finally see it on the Jeep .
