Default Custom Rocker Guards

Here is a set of new rocker guards I just had done up. They are similar to the ones that Shrockworks sells only I wanted to do it with 2x3 square tubing as opposed to 2x2. I think they came out pretty well.

I have more pics of them in my gallery if you wanna check them out.

They look good. The welds aren't too bad either, a lot better than others I've seen on some other threads.

Yea, the welding job isn't amazing looking, but I'm sure it's just as strong. Of course I'm comparing it to the welding job on my titanium mountain bike. haha.

I must add too that this was their first shot at working on a JK. I was the guinea pig. I'm sure the brackets were a pain to make.

haha. You can still check them if you want. My biggest concern with these rockers, like others that mount to the frame, is how much of the pinch seam you are able to see. With the tubing that extends out and upward, only at certain angles are you able to even see the pinch seam. They did a pretty nice job of hiding them.

You should get some made up for yourself. I know they got one order already from another guy in the local club. Mine was a practice run

I believe they are doing them for $475, painted and all.

Whos they? Not trying to be a d$&# but if an off-road shop made these, I would go back and say something to them........the welds look terrible......and for $475 I would want better if it were me...

They are called New River Offroad. A local fab shop in SW Virginia. Like I said, that's what they are selling them for (I forgot to mention that also includes installation). That's not what I paid though as mine was a "tester vehicle/set."

Do you think strength has been compromised because of the looks of the welds?

Not necessarily, but after paying $28,000 for my Unlimited I would want to throw something on there that doesnt look clean........but thats just me. I would however think about replacing the existing bolts with some grade 8 ones.
