That picture was run in Petersen 4wheel and off road in 04. That Jeep was a bone stock 98 Sahara I bought off the lot new in 98. It went through a LOT. 4 complete rolls, about 2 dozen flops, 3 sets of axles (30/35, 30/44, 60/60), 2 transmission (ax-15, 700r4), 3 transfer cases (2 231s one Atlas), a bakers dozen driveshafts, 2 roll cages, 3 paint jobs, 2 steering wheels, about 15 sets of tires and wheels, and 80k miles before the engine finally died.

Fun to wheel but couldn't drive it on the road anymore... wanted to get back to my pure jeep roots and bought a JK! I have vowed to not let my JK project get out of control and end up with a buggy again!

OK, it also ocurred to me after WOL comments that he may not realize that we are talking about a TINY Dana 30 R&P up front... yea it is built but it is still a tiny ring gear. (WOL is comparing his D44 which is naturally harder to break in a rear end and teh R&P is MUCH stronger than a D30) The rest of the axle is built super strong (trussed, gussetted, Chro-mo 27/32 spline axles, ARB, and reinforced EVERYTHING) Which makes the Ring gear be the weak link.
