Default DIY Cargo Net.

Well I finally got a chance to Finally Fab something for my JK. (Well the wifes JK LOL ) I'm in the process of making a Cargo net!! I got to say it looks awesome!!! I'm going to say first off if I never had my own shop with an industrial sewing machine I wouldn't even attempt making it. OMG what a nightmare. I can see why they are so expensive. It's not the material in them it's the time. I was at it Saturday for 4 hrs and on Sunday for another 5 hrs. Now I realize that the first one always takes alot longer to make because of the trial and error. But my God theres alot of sewing. I still don't have the side nets done yet. I'm hoping to have it finished tomorrow. (I know i'm going to get the This Thread Is Useless Without Pics). But they are coming. I took a bunch in the begining with one way I was going to mount it to the jeep but ended up going in a different direction. Well Thats it for now. Bring on the This Thread Is Useless Without Pics. LOLOL

I can't wait to see how this turns out. I thought abut making my own as well. I like the COP version, but out of my price range for the time being. I don't like anything else I have found so I wanted to create my own. I'll keep an eye on this thread. Looks good so far too man.

Ok Well I stayed late at work this even and finished the cargo net. I got to say it's awesome!! I had to hit the highway on the way home and at 110 kms per hour it was just as quiet as not having it on. I though it was going to whistle or maybe flap around. Nothing. I'm totally impressed with it. So if anyone got any questions feel free to ask. Though the pictures pretty much say it all. Hope you like it!!

Well We are going to have some rain tonight so I figured I try putting the soft top on with the cargo net. Well it worked great. I can actually keep the soft top on while i'm using the cargo net. I'm totally inpressed with this. Really glad I made it.

Cheers,
Mike
Hey Crocker I'm totally impressed with the set-up you have down there. Every person on this web site would love to have half a set-up like that.

Hey that looks good. I want to do this. Maybe I can enlist my sister in this job. She can sew pretty good. Where did you get the supplies?
