It did when I initially tested it, so I welded on the outside of the reciever tube where it contacts the inside of the hitch. Those welds took up all of the slack. I then wedged two black foam blocks between the iron & the spare. This really wasn'r neccisary but I did it anyway. It doesn't move a bit or squeek at all. I'm very happy how it turned out.
