Engine Swap in JK?
I was told by a local shop that I could swap out my 3.8 for a Hemi. Anyone tried this? I would think that if it is possible, it would be cost prohiibitive. But what a rocket!

Do a search for "hemi" or check out burnsvilleoffroad.com . They, among a few others, have done it.

I'm going to answer whoever asked about the price for a Burnsville Offroad engine swap... I got this information from elsewhere on the forum, and I'm passing this along second-hand, so don't quote me on the exact figures.
As you probably know, they offer 3 different V8 installations for the JK... here is the price, installed (which I believe includes all the necessary part change-outs, and comes with a 1 year / 12K mile warranty):
4.7L = ~$15K installed
5.7L Hemi = ~$18K installed
6.1L SRT Hemi = ~$25K installed
Very pricey, as you can see. As usual, that old rule of aftermarket applies: How fast do you want to go? The answer dictates the price...
