The quality is very impressive and I am supprised how stable the video is, even on the wash board dirt roads..
I was wondering what kind of video cameras you guys are using and how/where is it mounted in Jeep? How do you minimize glare & shaking?
I was also wondering if you would share the location of the two last campsites at Lake Powell and Grand Canyon?
Beautiful videos Mark !.. Loved the White Rim trail...

Lake Powell campsite was above Little Valley Canyon--a side road off the main road through that part of the park. This is primarily for boaters, but it was right up in the area marked on these charts ... lake-powell-guide.com/Attractions/047794-Little-Valley-Canyon-On-Lake-Powell.htm
The Grand Canyon north rim campsite I'm sworn to secrecy on. However, I will give you a hint: I've looked at a number of different maps of the area on the eastern end of the GC, and these campsites are marked on them. I will add that some of it is BLM land, and you're free to use it. Some of it is Navajo nation land, and you may use it after obtaining a permit. We were on BLM land. And when you pass through gates, the courtesy is to leave each gate as you found it, open or closed. Finally, these are bare campsites--you must be prepared for true vehicle dependent expedition (VDE) camping.
Mark, first and foremost I hope you , your family and friends all faired well through the tornadoes. Our thoughts and prayers to those impacted, and I thought I'd mention great videos. I hope to have opportunity to venture the same trails soon.
I couldn't imagine going through what those family's must be. Hope they're all okay

Cameras are GoPro Hero 2s on suction cup mounts in the windshield, and on stick-on mounts other places. Also use a Canon 7D with a Zacuto eye loupe and Zoom H4N mic/recorder as primary video camera. I also have the Red Rock Micro Running Man chest stabilization rig, but usually don't put the camera on it. As is the case with the Manfrotto 504HD tripod I carry. I should because it would really help stabilize the videos. Primary still camera is a 5D Mk III, which is pressed into service as a video camera when it happens to be in my hand when I need video.

Glad you are O.K. and got out safely.
Thank you for taking the time to reply. Man, I looked up the Manfrotto 504HD tripod... very nice.. but yikes!, it almost cost more than my first car

I found the Lake Powell campsite on the map and I had already looked at some possible campsite on the North side of GC closer up towards Lees Ferry on BLM land also (fairly exposed to wind). But your GC campsite is more scenic and a little more remote, which I like. Next time I am in the area I will scope it out.
Keep up the good work with the pictures and video..
