Thanks for the compliment. Mine is on the left. On the right belongs to an old USAF friend of mine who, after I took him to Moab, wanted to build one exactly like mine. Except his is a '12, so there are some notable differences (he has an AEV rack since MBRP didn't have one for that year, for example). He lives in WA, but we still get together for runs--sometimes both our Jeeps, sometimes just one. That let's the other serve as photographer for the trip, which is really a lot better for making videos.

Spotted this the other day in Boulder. Looks like a great space-saving way to store some extra gas. As a bonus, it fits behind oversized tires (35" I believe). Anyone have an idea who makes this item? Better yet, anyone own one and have a user's opinion?

Thoughts on Jerry cans vs rotopax for expedition? I'm making a list of things I'm going to need and the rear bumper im looking at (LoD) can be set up with either. Wanted to see what the expedition community thinks.

Depends on the state...old jerry cans cannot be sold without a ridiculous nozzle to meet carb requirements. If you can find some old ones is probably your be route...

Personal preference. I like the traditional Jeep look, which is why I have jerry cans and no LED lights. But that's just me. Friend of mine (white JK in my vids) has the AEV rear bumper and a Rotopax, but carries jerry cans on his trailer. He has stuck with non-LED lights, however. It is a nice looking rig. I do have to paint the cans on occasion or they turn pink, LOL.

I use a siphon hose and avoid the nozzle.

I like the rotopax so far. You won't be stuck to one mounting solution, can stack them, lock them, have different mounting places, etc...
