Shot of my wife and I parked at Palm Springs airport. The green 182 in the background is Harrison Fords. He came in and parked right next to us. We got to meet him briefly. Was pretty rad!
Nothing like coming home to your wife asking, "sooooooo, how was that $500.00 cheeseburger"!

I thought the 182 behind you looked familiar. It crashed in Big Bear a couple of years ago. I used to go in and out of KSMO all the time. Ford had quite the little air fleet going there for a time.

You are correct!!! One of my favorite airplanes and a big loss. It was the president of our flying club that crashed it. I loved 9UP and sad that she is gone. Was a total loss. He wasn't paying attention to his altitude and came in too low and crashed through the fence. Bummer. He was ok though.

Machoo, I have been reading through this thread for days now and came across a post of yours back in October I think with you stating your Jeep was pretty much a stock Sahara. Is that the case now and what mods have you done? Anything with Gearing, open or limited rears? I have a two as well which you may have picked on a few posts back and will be using it for expedition runs in time. I personally like more stock elements than others but curious on yours with your comments.

I think density altitude did that one in. Dens Alt that day was about 8,000 ft for Big Bear. Hot/High/Heavy will bite you every time.

Took the Jeep and the wife out there last year! I hear that there are a few new dinosaurs out there since we visited.
