Well, I was rear ended at speed today on Highway 70 coming into work near the Earth City Expressway. Traffic came to a quick stop. I was able to stop but the Liberty behind me plowed into me. I'm going to need a new tail gate for sure, but other than that I think I'm ok.

I have to say, the Expedition One rear bumper can take some SERIOUS abuse!

I think that Liberty is totaled. Good to hear the bumper help up so well, but still make sure you have a shop check the frame on your Jeep just to make sure.

Jeep vs Jeep..... oh well, pays to have more than just a bumper back there. The tire took a major hit as well...

 

Wow! That is pretty good advertisement for Expedition One. With the looks of the other vehicle I would have the Jeep's frame inspected for possible damage. That guys must have been moving . . .

Glad you are OK! I am pretty sure my stock bumper would not have fared so well! Now I want a new rear bumper even more!

 

Looks like your bumper took a pretty good hit. Not that they are built for a collision like that, but if the tire wasn't mounted to the tailgate, you might not have had any tailgate damage at all!

 

All the more reason Jeeps should come with a real bumper.
