Not sure if/when you`ll be heading thru central Texas, but for the next several days it`s supposed to be cold, some sleet, and all around pretty slippery. So take it easy & be safe out there & good luck with your move .

Thumbs up

looks like an awesome trip so far. not many people like driving anymore it seems. And it also looks like you guys are taking the more scenic route... looks like you are going... I-95 to I-85 to I-20 to I-10 and then to the new home... right? just wondering, but you know I-95 to I-70 to I-44 to I-40 would've been a more direct approach... but then that would only be 10 states rather then 15.

keep us updated on the trip and drive safe.

oh, and how did you sneak through maryland without taking a picture?

I did that same move back in 2002. I lived in CT for only 6 months and moved back to AZ. I went the northern route and went to visit family in CHicago. With my TJ on a trailer being pulled by a moving van, I made it to Chitown in 16 hours. I only stayed for 7 hours, sleeping 5. I then drove straight thru to Scottsdale over the next 29 hours living on Mountain Dew and peanut M&Ms. My stomach was a mess for the next week. Nothing like hallucinating in Northern AZ without the assistance of outside stimuli. The last 200 miles were rough. Beautiful drive. I love driving in the desert. I can do without Westen Texas. It never ends!

Interesting pictures. They made me tired just looking at them. I've moved several times in my life and know the work involved. Then to top that off there is the long trip. Sigh! Guess I'll go get a cup of hot chocolate and try to recover.

I did the move from CT to NM back in late 1999 with my 2000 XJ cherokee with a uhaul trailer and 2 others with me. I think the trailer was over loaded but we did it in 3 days.
