Been hot lately and doing other things, might pick this back up tomorrow or thursday as my stock tire carrier is making a popping/cracking noise everytime the tire bounces.

This is wicked, I might try this with the help of a friend (he's a machinist and does a lot of fabrication work) who has the tools. Subscribed.

As soon as i got on the freeway on friday driving to san diego, my tire started bouncing with every bump in the road, making a horrible noise and having to take the tire off and put it in the back with the luggage, i decided i needed to finish it. So on friday added the center section and a tube coming out with a gusset for support, im making a plate today where im gonna drill some holes weld some bolts into the holes and weld it to the carrier. Here are some progress pix. The center section contacted the vent in the back so i just trimmed some of the plastic.
