I went with the Smittybilt SRC Oversized Tire Carrier. It's strong and sturdy enough and I like that I can lock it easily. Cost $130 on Amazon and was easy to install. No bad rattle unlike before without it. One day I'll have a bumper tire carrier combo but till then it's cool. Welcome to the 35" club!

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to keep this Jeep more tame.

You'll get a few different responses but please be aware that the stock carrier has cracked in the past on a new jeep with a stock sized spare.

You can do the teraflex hinge and carrier to keep a relatively "tame" look while also handling the tire without worries of damaging the tailgate or cracking the carrier.

That didn't answer your question though. You can buy a third brake light relocation kit or cut the brake light off and buy the lug nut light kit. It's $35 or you can piece it together for under half of that.

Delete the spare and buy a plug kit and on board air.

I cut the third brake light off, tucked the wires into the vent back there and zip tied them.

Terraflex is saying that it will only work with a 32" tire ? Does it work with a 35 ? How could I raise the 3 rd. brake light , to keep factory look ?

Thank you

Are you running stock wheels? I have the Teraflex HD carrier and had 315/70/17's on AEV Pintlers and the factory 3rd brake light was not in the way
