Well, I didn't actually get naked...it was the Jeep. And I wasn't actually at the Apollo...I was at my crib...but it sounded like a pretty catchy title, huh?

In any case, what do you do when you have a day off from work and ain't got nothin' goin' on???


Tear apart your JK of course!!! I had already tried taking my doors off at Truckhaven on New Year's Day for the first time...so today I figured, "The weather is decent (translation: NO RAIN ), why not take the top off for the first time as well?" I needed to give the JK a good wash anyway to get all the trail dust off, so I killed two birds with one stone. The pictures ensue...ENJOY!!!

Why does my spare tire look so sharp? Oh, right...no windows.



The interior got the whole Meguiar's treatment, and of course, the hand brake required a HAND JOB to get it fully clean...but look how happy it was after the results!

That hardtop was a pain in the a$$ to get off...I had to randomly flag down this one dude on my block that has an FJ Cruiser (kindred spirits and all) to help me lift that mug off the back. Although to my credit, I got the thing moved inside by myself. Inside where you ask? Take a look...



I now officially have no dining room. Good thing my roommate is always over at his fiancee's place...space is now at a premium! At least I have a really cool fort to play in now.


In any case, when I eventually DO put the top back on...I'm going to need the assistance of one of my local SFV JK nukkas (read: Augie, Cesar, and/or Fatboy...THIS MEANS YOU!!! ). Keep your ears open boys! Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!

Man the hard tops are nice to have but a pain to find storage space for hope you didnt scratch it up to bad I like the setup man the stance looks great

 

Naw, I don't think I scratched it TOO bad, and in all honesty, the thing is not THAT heavy, it's just unwieldy and awkward.
