Default Jeep Wrangler JK Rear Led Fog Light Hack

Step:1 Led Light with Hitch Cover

Step:2 wired up with a trailer adapter used only these pins as in the harness i wired these for the foglight

Step:3 front view after finishing it was kinda not sure if i find it bulky or not but will see on the hitch how it will be

Step:4 Rugged Ridge Harness won't work on Euro Specs Taillight so had to modify it to what i need to use

Step:5 Rugged Ridge Harness male adapter connected to the jeep fog light harness that way i can disconnect trailer harness if its damaged or to wire the extra 2 pins for something else

Step:6 Final Result so The reason i did it this way is because i can use it as fog light remove from the hitch and do recovery when needed its just for more flexibility and i need the fog light to be there since in dubai we get fogs from time to time and its dangerous to drive without them so this will make it up from the ones used to be on the OEM Plastic bumper

i thought its gonna look bulky but after installing it i don't find it bulky at all

also the reason i didnt buy the ones from amazon after seeing the reviews and how they melt and some got fire i had to do myself plus this led is so bright at night

a bit of clean wiring since trailer cable doesn't have a side way so push the wires sideways and covered them with the wire loom

Just a word of advice, slather that trailer connection in dielectric grease. I rigged a plate light to it for a few years and it basically disintegrated from the corrosion. Fortunately the harness isn't too long and it's available on its own, unfortunately it costs an arm and a leg. Looks good!
