Default Jerry Can Mounts For USMC 1978 Cans Smittybilt SRC Bumper/ Tire Carrier

Hey fellow jeepers! I was wondering if anyone had rigged up a simple jerry can mount for the Smittybilt SRC rear bumper and tire carrier? I just got two 1978 USMC Jerry cans at a garage sale and need a way to mount them to my jeep. I dont like the I-Rack system since I want the cans to be next to the tire on each side like this []O[] with the O being the tire and the [] being the cans. I've also heard that the rock hard mounts work but they are pretty expensive considering I got the cans for $2 a piece. If possible I'd like to avoid cutting into or welding to my tire carrier in case I decide to take the whole setup off. Anyone do anything like this? And if so how did you pull it off.

Thanks in advance!

Use one can mounted to the empty holes in your spare and a big aluminum plate cover the rim and mount can to plate.see in picture.
