Default JKs in accidents

Please post pics of some damage from your JK being involved an accident as well as a description of what happened.

I trying to see how well the JK will do in different types of accidents. And I'm interested in how different lifts and armor can help with impact.

From several pics I've seen of people on here's jeeps getting hit they seem to do alright.

Thanks

I don't have any pictures, but, the Jeep's crash test ratings are actually quite good. You can find them online. This was a major factor in my decision making.

i was doing maybe 20-25 mph through an intersection when a lady ran a stop sign and hit my jeep. i actually crawled out of the window, basically unharmed. the jeep did flip really easily IMO, but it protected me well when i was upside down!

all of this happened to my 3 week old 2011 JK

Get it fixed or did insurance want to write it off?

Insurance said since the police couldn't get the plate since it was a hit and run I'n on my own they called it a collision but it was a hit and run? Liberty Mutual sucks my wife's car was sideswiped three months ago and they still haven't done anything.

I was in an accident a week and a half ago. I hit some ice on a hill sloping down and couldn't stop. A good 150 feet in front of me was a minivan sitting in the middle of the hill doing jack shit. I tried brakes, 4HI 1st gear, and by the time I was in 4LO 1st gear still unable to stop, I rear-ended the minivan and absolutely annihilated it. Luckily nobody was hurt.

Damage to the Jeep? None. I still have the stock front bumper and there isn't a scratch on it. Of course, I have a 4" lift so my bumper didn't impact a solid frame which is probably what saved it.

A tiny Mazda decided to stop on an on-ramp, I slammed into him at about 45mph. DESTROYED the Mazda and bent the frame on the Jeep with only 8,000 miles on it. Both airbags deployed, but aside from some glass cuts (top was off the Jeep and it went everywhere) both my passenger and myself walked away untouched.

The silver lining was I ended up getting more for the Jeep than I paid and rolled that into a loaded Rubicon.
