My JKUR is still basically stock and so I'm spending lots of time researching and figuring out how I want to gear my build towards. I know I want to get into expedition/overlanding type stuff so naturally AEV is top of my list.

But so I have this correct (newbish) - 2.5" with 37's is doable with plenty of bump stop, but 2.5" with 1" bl would allow for greater articulation right? I'd like to stay away from any bl but I understand the pros of only lifting 2.5 vs 3.5+.

So what are the main pros/cons of going 2.5" plus 1" bl vs 3.5" lift? Less worries with drive shaft?

Kick Forward...37" Tires and Overlander don't belong in the same sentence unless it is strictly cosmectic when it comes to the Overlander build concept...that or your filthy rich and money isn't an object at the pumps....

Don't get me wrong it would look Great, however, I don't think it would be very practical

Just my 0.02

Good points. I have a 2012 and will likely start with 35's till I can spend the dough on gears and axle upgrades. Aev's 4.5 is recommended for 37's, so I guess just more to factor in. Over landing is a future dream, the reality right now is I'm in PA and if you want to go anywhere, prepare for rocks...

I'm wanting to do a similar build....

leveling kit, large tires, chopped fenders.

But... Do full width bumpers interfere with large tires / no lift? Specifically the ARB deluxe?

I'm not seeing any pics with full fronts..

I had to trim the inside lower part of my Mopar front bumper to not rub the tires.
